About Becky Troutman

Becky Troutman is a dedicated resident of Lakeland, whose professional journey has been deeply rooted in her commitment to serving others within the community. Her multifaceted career spans education, corporate training, school psychology, and even real estate.

Becky’s strong belief in the power and importance of education steered her to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. Her dedication to fostering learning and growth didn’t stop there. Becky furthered her knowledge with a Master’s in Counseling from Liberty University and a Master’s and Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.

Beyond her educational endeavors, Becky is also an entrepreneur. She currently manages two small businesses – one specializing in school psychology and the other in interior decorating.   Additionally, for two decades, Becky has also worn the hat of a licensed realtor.  In her role as a realtor, Becky has skillfully blended her knowledge in real estate with her passion for interior decorating, creating exceptional home-buying experiences for her friends and family.  Her enterprising spirit drives her to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families.

Becky’s commitment to Polk County extends far beyond her professional pursuits. She is an active participant in various community organizations. She has lent her expertise and leadership to local organizations such as the United Way of Central Florida, The Learning Resource Center, and currently serves as a Guardian Ad Litem, advocating for the best interests of children in need.

Devoted to public service, Becky consistently showcased exceptional leadership during her six-year tenure on the Polk County Planning Commission. Her role as the commission’s chair during her final two years provided her with invaluable insights into the intricacies of land use and development in Polk County.

Becky is a devoted mother to her daughter, who attends Lawton Chiles Middle Academy, a public school in Lakeland. She finds strength and grounding in her faith, worshiping at Trinity Presbyterian in Lakeland.

In her leisure time, Becky enjoys a variety of interests. She enjoys taking on home remodeling projects, saltwater fishing adventures, and pursuing her passion for running.
